The Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF) Alberta has been in operation for over 5 years as the local Branch of our national charity. Initially focused in Calgary, CCMF Alberta expanded to Edmonton and now offers access to support across the province.
CCMF Alberta is a place where men are treated with compassion and without prejudice or shaming. Our clients are men who are struggling due to intimate relationship breakdown and turmoil. All programs are developed in response to client needs and in consultation with a Registered Psychologist. We help equip men to manage stressful situations, rebuild their lives after relationships fail, stay connected with children, and minimize the chance of escalation to acute mental health crisis. We believe that improving men’s mental health makes them better dads, better partners, safer workers, and more engaged contributing members of their communities.
Position Overview
Working closely with the CCMF Alberta Counselling Team and reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will help with program operations. Although the successful candidate will support all programs, particular focus will be on the student delivered counselling through April 2022.
This role will be a good fit for individuals interested in learning about nonprofit operations and program management, and the counselling profession. Your time will be flexible, with the work being completed remotely.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organization and customer service skills, administrative and client management software experience, and enjoy working in a small, focused team environment.
Key Duties
1. Programs Administration
- Daily administration of Counselling session delivery logistics (client booking, recalls, billing and receipting support, general administrative support to Master of Counselling students and Registered Psychologist, and other duties as assigned).
- Support administration of other programs and services (participant registration and reporting, attrition management, and other duties as assigned).
- Supports good workflow, development and execution of effective processes, and communication among the CCMF Alberta team, working closely with the Program Leads and Coordinators, and other staff to support their work in an administrative role.
- Data collection, maintenance, and reporting, assisting with the management of our client relationship database(s).
2. Reports and evaluations
- Reports on the day-to-day operations and status of established goals. Assists in creation and delivery of program performance reporting.
- Contributes ideas for ongoing improvement and effective delivery of high quality, well-coordinated programs and services to nonprofits and charities.
Key Experience
- At least two years of experience in administrative roles or equivalent
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with other programs and software specific to the organization
- Able to maintain an electronic filing system
- Familiarity with delivery of mental health care services preferred
- Knowledge of the nonprofit sector, previous working experience in the sector will be considered an asset

Salary and Benefits
Compensation for this contract position will be $17 per hour for a maximum of 10 hours per week for the term of 9 months with the opportunity for renewal. We also offer a collaborative team environment that values professional development and ongoing learning of team members.
